Community & Workspace Coordinator (Part Time)

June 5, 2026

About Works Social

Works Social is an independent coworking and events space based in Nottingham's historic Lace Market.

Home to freelancers, remote workers, creatives and growing businesses, we provide flexible workspace, meeting rooms, virtual office services and a friendly professional community within a converted lace works building.

Alongside our coworking members, we also support over 150 virtual office clients, making Works Social a welcoming hub for businesses across Nottingham and beyond.

We're looking for a reliable, self-sufficient and personable individual to help oversee the day-to-day running of the space across 2-3 weekdays per week.

The Role

You'll act as one of the welcoming faces of Works Social, helping members, visitors and virtual office clients while ensuring the space runs smoothly day-to-day.

This is a varied role combining front-of-house responsibilities, community support, facilities management and light administration.

Some days can be busy, but there are also plenty of quieter periods. We're looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, using their initiative and taking ownership of their day, while acting as a trusted keyholder and point of contact for the space.

Responsibilities

  • Opening and closing the workspace
  • Meeting and greeting members and visitors
  • Managing incoming mail and collections for virtual office clients
  • Handling meeting room bookings and enquiries
  • Keeping shared spaces tidy, organised and well stocked
  • Supporting members with occasional day-to-day queries
  • Assisting with basic administration and record keeping
  • Acting as a responsible keyholder and point of contact during your working days

Opportunities to Get Involved

Depending on your interests and experience, there may also be opportunities to support:

  • Social media and marketing activities
  • Photography and content creation
  • Community events
  • Partnership building and business development

About You

We're less interested in finding the perfect CV and more interested in finding the right person.

You might have experience in hospitality, customer service, administration, events, community management, marketing or the creative industries.

You will ideally be:

  • Friendly and approachable
  • Organised and dependable
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Proactive and able to use your initiative
  • Confident communicating with a wide range of people
  • Happy taking ownership of a space and helping things run smoothly

This role may particularly suit someone balancing freelance work, studies, creative projects or a portfolio career alongside a part-time position.

During quieter periods there is often flexibility to work on personal projects while remaining available to support the needs of the workspace.

Hours & Location

  • 3 weekdays
  • 9am-5pm
  • Nottingham Lace Market
  • Ideally starting July 2026, although there may be flexibility for the right candidate

Salary

Competitive hourly rate dependent on experience and hours agreed.
